In my post last week Why Can't I Lose Weight? I talked about the missing factor in your weight loss efforts.
Motivation!
You may call it willpower but I think what is really missing is "want power".
You may want to lose weight but in the actual moment when faced with a piece of cheesecake you want the cheesecake more than any desire to look good on the beach in the summer.
You may want to lose weight, but in the moment when faced with staying in bed or getting up extra early to go to the gym before work you seemingly want more sleep much more than you want to drop 10lbs.
So how do you get that elusive motivation to lose weight?
Lots of ways and I have a whole free weight loss motivation course on the subject so I won't go into the details.
But even with that course you have to follow it. You have to do something.
There is no magic pill, patch or potion which will help if you're not prepared to take action.
But if you're ready to lose weight you can do it - anyone can - you just have to want it enough to do what it takes.
Are you sure you want to succeed at losing weight? How sure? Are you ready to work on your weight loss motivation?
Hi, I liked your post. You are absolutely right. I always wanted to lose weight but not at the risk of not getting the things that made me happy, or seaminly happy. I did find motovation that is really allowing me everything. Whole Body Vibration. I began working at Soloflex a year ago and did not know anything about WBV but knew about working and how much time and effort it took. I began using the WBV platform at the office on my lunch and could not believe the results. For only 15 minutes a day I was seeing the weight come off and the muscle go on. They told me muscle was the key to fat loss. You need to gain muscle to lose fat. They were right. I bought one and now work 15 minutes a day at home also. I stretch and do light weights. This has allowed me to continue to eat some of the things I was so dreading giving up. I realize my working for Soloflex may make it seem like I am trying to sell, but any vibration will work and it really does. Thank you for your post, again, I really liked it and it is so true.

Losing weight is never an easy thing and never expect that you will lose weight instantly. This require strong motivation and determination.

Losing weight is like a big obstacle in our life which has lot of stages. It's up to us if we are willing to finish the stages or stop and be a failure.

Loved the concept of "want power" it highlights how we really need to get to the point where wanting to reach our fitness and weight loss goals is more important then a piece of cheesecake. I linked to you article from mine where I tried to express ways to create external commitments to yourself that will keep you motivated. If you get a chance I would love to hear your thoughts on my post. Thank you
