I have been writing for years warning about diet scams such as Lipo-Slim and GI Capsules.
But there's no doubt about it these products still sell - the ads are still getting posted into mail boxes worldwide and hard-earned cash is still being spent on trying to lose weight the easy way. (Though the easy way in the ads turns out not to be effective)
If you don't believe me and take heed of what I say then please read these reports from the UK Government body - the Office of fair Trading and don't part with your cash.
The Office of Fair Trading can stop diet scams only within in the U.K. but believe me it is the same scam wherever you live.
I lost 140 pounds several years ago, after struggling with my weight for 25 years. I finally made up my mind that being overweight was not acceptable; I then cut back on eating and picked up my physical activity. I do remember thinking, though, that if "it didn't work this time" that I'd consider drugs or surgery to solve my weight problem.
I'm so grateful that I gave it one more attempt, picking up my level of commitment to taking action. Now, I counsel people struggling with their weight to consider invsesting increased resolve to make the effort necessary of their goal of weight loss. I believe most people can do what I do without drugs or surgery!

Wow Mark, 140lbs!
Thanks for commenting and being an inspiration to those struggling to lose weight in a healthy way.
Drugs and surgery are not the answer if you want to look AND feel good - good eating and exercise habits are the way to go.

After having a baby 10 months ago i have become very aware of the fact my body is not what it use to be. I only wanted to lose that last 10kg and thought 'what the hell, I'll give these a go', as I have little spare time between work and looking after my little one to do any exercise. I am so glad I thought about it and decided to research a little further, and now after seeing your website will not proceed with the purcahse of the G.I capsule. When I saw the return address was in the Neatherlands I grew suspicious that it had made its way to me in Tasmania, Australia...Talk about a scam I thought it was to good to be true.

Hi Veronica
relying on pills is never the answer - if you don't have much time just do what you can in 5 or 10 minutes here or there. All effort counts.
And you can grab something healthy to eat as quickly as grabbing something unhealthy - think apples not cookies!
All the best with your efforts

Two weeks ago, I could've taken these g.i tablets if it wasn't for my husband whom had constantly reminding me to do a bit of researh first before I decided to try them. I'm glad I listened to him and waited.I really feel for those who had wasted money on these tablets and failed to loose any weights. Exercise and eating a nice balance meal its the only way I know to loose weight for good. So good luck to you all out there who are struggling with weight problems, hope you will make the right decision for your body and health.
All the best. Annie

I have been conned before with another slimming product (cellulite patches)- unfortunately I can't remember the name or I'd warn you all!Anyway, luckily that time I got my money back so this time i thought I'd do my research and voila, it's another scam! This time they are claiming the tablets are Kylie Minogue's secret so I thought maybe it's true! I'm so desperate to get rid of my cellulite (not so much weight loss as I slim and of slight frame)which I have had since a teenager. Any advice on how to treat cellulite? I know this is probably not the forum to ask, but I can't help myself! Anyway, I am NEVER going to let a mailout con me again! What I think we should all do is report these people to Office of Fair Trading and STOP these people from stealing other people's money and hopes away! Please JOIN ME and do something NOW just as they have done in the UK! Ingrid, Sydney, Australia

Hi,
I just received this pamphlet in the mail, must admit it sounded really good, but i knew it was too good to be true. Plus the price played a big part in my not purchasing them, thank goodness. My other concern with this is that the letter was personally addressed to myself.
Thankyou for having such a website warning other people from wasting their hard earned money.
Keep up the good work. Kelly, Melbourne Australia.

I notice that not one person who has complained on here has actually taken the GI capsule. So unless you try it how do you know it won't work. They gaurantee money back and I have dealt with similar people before and they have always refunded my money on request.

I purchased the G.I capsule a few months ago and it did absolutely nothing. I sent the pills back since they had the money back guarantee(That's why i bought them, thnking it was risk free), but instead of returning my money they returned the pills. I lost $170 on this scam. I still have the pills and i'm not sure what i should do to get my money back.

I have been taking Liposlim for 2 months now. It's great. It really gives me the boost I need.
I think people assume that if you take a pill it's a quick fix. No, you need to include healthy eating and excersice. If diet pills alone worked people will see improvements.

00dr. Oz saysa it's the best thing ever discovered. You know everyone will buy it because he recommends it. I'M STILL NOT SOLD ON IT.

Lipo Slim - I'm not sure if this product works yet or not; they offer a "free trial" for 14 days and if your not satisfied, they will not charge you the full amount (79.99)of the bottle, HOWEVER they do not mail it to you until after 14 days from your original request! Any company that needs to resort to scamming someone into purchasing their product must be shady and I do not want to try their product out of sheer principal. Their customer service department knows exactly why you're calling and "automatically" offer 50% refund. Obviously, they've had a number of the same complaints .......
Posted by: maria | August 03, 2012 at 08:19 PM
Yep: I see my FREE trial has been charged to my account.

I had to scroll to the bottom to read the *honest-non-paid* reviews. Definitely wasted my time on a miracle cure .. when it's too good to be true.....

If it is no good and such a scam why is it the Dr. Oz and Rachel Ray who have a very large following state you don't have to do nothing and that it works? They are major big shots.

I have tried about every diet there has ever been, none have worked, every time you turn around you see something different on Dr. Oz or some other tv add, first it was the raspberry ketone, now the green coffee, the green tea, trust me i have tried them all, i always say if someone is so sure of there product they would give a totally free trial, because if it worked they know for sure people would order it again, but instead they offer a free trial, and then you pay shipping, and handling, and they always want your credit card number, so they can go ahead and charge you!! If they ever have a product come out that is totally free then i'll try it, until then i will not waste any more of my time or money!!! They know that people don't usually waste there time to send these products back for a refund, that's why they offer the refund, just another get rich scam!!! You notice they always say diet, and exercise will help you get better results with these products, well just diet, and exercise, and forget the products, and you will still get the same results!!!! The only way i have ever been able to lose weight was eating anything i wanted as long as i stuck to 1200 calories a day, and worked off at least 600 of those calories a day, i lost 34 lbs. in 3 months!

Why do big shots advertise something that doesn't work and say that it does? Mmmh...could it be that they get paid big money to do so....????

I received an ad in the mail today advertising for SlimLipo30 supplement pill. Have you heard about this?
Apparently it's from Dr. Samantha Morgan, M.D. Weight Loss Specialist. The address is SlimLipo30- 201 W. Mitchell St., Suite #166, Petoskey MI 49770 and the phone number is 1-888-615-2902
I was just wondering if this is another scam?
Posted by: Lyndsey B | September 24, 2012 at 10:05 PM
I haven't heard of it but I'd put a million dollars on "yes". Why? Because I haven't heard of it. If it worked it would be in every newspaper, magazine and TV news show.
