The culprit is in almost ever home. Some of us have more than one. Most of us wouldn't be without it yet are unaware of the harm it does.
The villain? TV!
Did you know that the more TV you watch the greater your likelihood of obesity? Why is TV so bad for your shape?
Well, you pile on the pounds because
a) if you sitting watching you're not moving
b) if you're viewing TV chances are you're viewing ads - and probably ads for food which will have you grabbing a snack before long
c) if you're watching a show, your hands are idle - they are quite likely to keep reaching for the snacks you wish you hadn't got out of the cupboard until the packet is quite empty
Do you say you haven't got time for exercise yet spend more than 20 minutes a day watching TV?
Give up some of your TV and get moving or combine TV time with exercise time by using a step or rebounder in front of the TV set - just be careful you don't lose your footing if you get carried away with your show. Or lift weights or do floor exercises during the commercial breaks.
Just, don't let TV make you fat.
Amen! That is so true. And I've also found that since I've given up some of my mindless tv time and started exercising, I have more trouble sitting still to watch the few shows I still allow myself. I find that I HAVE to get up during the commercials because I can't sit still that long. That can certainly help keep me from snacking!

You can even rent a series and only watch it while you work out - working out may then even become something to look forward to for those who dread it :)
