Watch out for Smoothies if You're trying to Lose weight
Innocent healthy sounding smoothies can be anything but.
They may be healthy in terms of ingredients but watch out for the calories - some chains sell smoothies which will pile on just as much fat as a cheeseburger and fries.
If you buy a smoothie from a store check out the calorie load first - you'll be amazed at what a tiny little drink can contain.
You can of course make your own healthy smoothies with a mixture of fresh fruit, low-fat yogurt and milk but treat them as food rather than as drinks to ensure that they do not get in the way of your weight loss plans. Probably something to have occasionally for breakfast rather than every day.
