The Water and Cayenne Pepper Diet
Apparently Beyonce Knowles used a water and cayenne pepper diet to slim down for her role in the forthcoming film "Dreamworld" and as a result became "too thin" according to a recent press release Beyonce Lost Weight on Water Diet.
She dropped 20lbs literally by starving herself while all around carried on eating on the set. Not a good role model to follow - but it does show how dedicated stars have to be to get the right image - the one that we all envy.
It's not so easy for them either - the pictures we all see just make it look as if they naturally achieve those perfect bodies when often there a whole team of people, weeks sweating and straining in the gym and a diet that wouldn't feed a sparrow behind it all (not to mention the very handy air-brushing on the pictures).
Update: From reading the comments it seems that some folks believe the cayenne pepper and water diet to be some kind of natural colon cleanse and that may be what is having the effect. Whatever it is I can't say I have tried it or ever will I have to admit :)

I love Beyonce. This is why she has all this money. She makes sacrifices and gets the job done, She's a true diva and star. This section makes her diet sound so negative like she's trying to kill herself. Ridiculous. Go Beyonce!!!

Sorry Latisha, I was just pointing out that it's not easy for stars to look slim either. Sometimes we spend too much time envying them as well as admiring them. A shape like theirs takes dedication - hard work with diet and exercise and is not achieved by lucky genes, miracle diet pills or slimming patches despite their having access to all the diet cures that money can buy.

what was the recipe of cayenne pepper and water? Not quit sure how you prepare?
Posted by: gi-gi | July 15, 2006 at 04:13 PM
Hi gi-gi,
I have absolutely no idea - but it sounds awful so I wouldn't recommend it! Not sure why she could not just drink pure honest-to-goodness water - although they do say that spicy food raises the metabolism so that may be why.
This diet sounds a bit extreme - I was just making the point that the stars don't have it so easy with losing weight either even though we envy them.

2 tablespoons of Maple Syrup
2 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice
1 1/0 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
8oz of water
mix, shake it up, and drink.
Good Luck!

Hi Inna
Thanks for the recipe though it doesn't sound too inviting. I think I'll still stick to water and peppermint tea :)

well i just have to say 1st the name of the movie is dreamGIRLS not dreaWORLD. next this is not a diet its a cleanse for the colon and kidneys and helps digestion. there is nothing wrong with doin a cleanse, it gets rid of all types of blockage and can be better for you in the long run.

I think Ramica already said that. I never thought mistyping the name of a movie was a cause for insults but then it takes all types to make a world LOL

1 1/0 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. what's
1 1/0?
Posted by: Tricia | March 17, 2008 at 12:14 AM
Maybe it meant to say one tenth of a teaspoon - but this cayenne pepper diet doesn't sound like a good plan to me anyway.
It's true that spicy foods can raise your metabolism but I can't imagine that this would do much more than make me feel sick.
And vomiting is definitely NOT a healthy plan.

I actually am currently on this cleansing diet. This is called the master cleanse. A purk to this cleanse is that you do lose weight, but it is primarily used as a cleanse as Janice mentioned ealier. I am into the third day and feel completely fine (not suffering). This mixture has not brought any hunger pains. Just the mental want of certain foods

I think the diet is safe for 2-3weeks straight. I know 2 people personally who did stick to the plan and lost over 15 lbs in 30days.
Its your mind and how strong you are willing to do it. Besides the drink actually tastes great.

I have been doing research on this diet and have attempted to take pills and etc... I am 34 years old and I am 60 pounds overweight. My current weight is 248 pounds. I am thinking about this diet, but I am afraid I will get sick. But looking at how overweight and unhealthy I am I think it's worth the risk.
